City Ramblers Revival are playing at the 3rd birthday of  Ivy House, Nunhead from 5 to 6pm on Saturday 27th August – there’ll be a weekend of celebrations, other bands, barbeques, craft beer, good wine, excellent company in this spacious and delightful music pub. www.ivyhousenunhead.com        free event

Next City Ramblers Revival gig is Herne Hill Music Festival on Thursday 15th October Sonnet & Skiffle with the Ramblers plus poets Harry Eyres & John Christopher Wood.  I will also be presenting Gorgeous Guitars for the festival on 13th October with Steve Morrison, Mario Bakuna and Ruben & Gorgios of Gypsy Butter. I’ll be emceeing the Saturday poetry and music events at Camden Square Festival on 18th July. There’ll be music from City Ramblers Revival, Speakeasy Jazz and poetry from Jo Roach, Jon Sayers and myself + local young poets. Free event, starts around 4pm

City Ramblers Revival have been invited to perform at the Ivy House Nunhead on 29th August at a festival to celebrate two years since it re-opened as a co-operative pub.    See www.ivyhousenunhead.com for more information on this weekend event. I’m currently writing a song about the Ivy House, a great old pub and music venue with stage – saved from the developers by local action.

Bards & Beats is the first of an occasional ‘Third Thursday of poetry and music to be held there.. The City Ramblers Revival: Simon Prager, Kevin Stenson and Hylda Sims, play Skiffle, Blues, original songs and more; Rye Poets are talented local poets, Joan Byrne, Helen Adie & Pia Goddard, Jon Sayers, actor, poet, is a seasoned performer and an editor of poetry magazine ‘Magma’.
